Biography

Saint Theodotus of Caesarea, also known as Saint Theodotus the Martyr, was a devout Christian who lived during the third century. He is particularly remembered for his marriage to Saint Rufina of Caesarea and his fatherhood of Saint Mamas. Saint Theodotus's life was tragically cut short as he was martyred during the persecutions of Emperor Aurelian. Born in the picturesque city of Caesarea in Cappadocia, Asia Minor, during the early part of the third century, Saint Theodotus grew up in a Christian family, which played a significant role in shaping his faith.
