Biography

Saint Theodemir of Cordoba, also known as Teodemiro, was a monk who lived during the Moorish rule in Andalusia, Spain. Born in Cordoba, he dedicated his life to the service of God and embraced a life of prayer, contemplation, and asceticism. During the reign of Abderrahman II, a period characterized by religious persecution of Christians, Theodemir fearlessly practiced his faith and openly professed his belief in Christianity. Despite the dangers and the very real threat to his life, he courageously continued to spread the teachings of Christ and provide spiritual guidance to his fellow Christians.
