Saint Stephen of Sweden, also known as Stephen of Corbie or Stephen of Corvey, was a highly revered Catholic monk and missionary bishop. Born in the 11th century, he dedicated his life to the service of God and played a crucial role in bringing Christianity to the region between Denmark and Sweden. Stephen began his spiritual journey as a monk at the renowned New Corbie monastery in Saxony. There, he immersed himself in prayer, study, and the pursuit of holiness.
