Saint Simplicius I of Vienne, also known as Silplicius, Simplice, Simplicidius, Simplicio, Simplides, or Simplidis, was a prominent Bishop of Vienne in the Dauphiné region of southeast France. He was born in the late 4th century and dedicated his life to the service of God and the Church. Saint Simplicius I became Bishop of Vienne in the year 398 and served in this capacity for the remaining 19 years of his life.
