Biography

Saint Severinus of Tivoli, also known as Severinus of Tivoli, was a Benedictine monk and hermit who lived in Tivoli, Italy during the 6th and 7th centuries. While little information is available about his early life, his devotion to God and his holy life as a monk have been widely recognized. St. Severinus dedicated his life to the monastic lifestyle, embracing the principles of poverty, chastity, and obedience. He sought solitude and withdrew himself from the world, choosing to live as a hermit in Tivoli.
