Biography

Saint Septiminus of Venosa, also known as San Settimo, was a Christian martyr who lived during the persecutions of Maximian Herculeaus in the early 4th century. Although not much is known about his early life, he is remembered for his unwavering faith and courageous testimony. Septiminus was born in Venosa, a town in the southern part of Italy, around the year 280. At a time when being a Christian meant risking one's life, Septiminus fearlessly embraced his faith and became a devout follower of Jesus Christ. He firmly believed in the teachings of the Catholic Church and lived his life in accordance with its principles. During the reign of the Roman emperor Maximian Herculeaus, Christians faced severe persecution.
