Biography

Saint Selyf of Cornwall, also known as Levan, Levin, Selevan, Selyr, Silvanus, and Solomon, was a sixth-century hermit who lived in Saint Levan, Cornwall, England. Though not much is known about his early life, it is believed that he was born in Cornwall during the early Christian period. Saint Selyf's life was characterized by solitude, as he chose to live as a hermit in the remote area of Saint Levan. He dedicated himself entirely to prayer, contemplation, and seeking a deeper union with God.
