Biography

Saint Sapor of Persia, also known as Shapor, was a relative of King Shapur II and a devout Christian in Persia during the mid-4th century. He is celebrated as a courageous martyr who willingly gave his life for his faith. As a relative of the king, Saint Sapor held a position of prominence within the royal court. However, his unwavering commitment to Christianity ultimately led to his tragic end. The details of Saint Sapor's life are somewhat limited, but historical accounts suggest that he faced intense persecution for his refusal to renounce his faith. Despite the prevailing influence of Zoroastrianism in Persia at the time, Saint Sapor remained steadfast in his Christian beliefs, publicly professing his devotion to Jesus Christ.
