Saint Processus of Rome, also known as Processus of Rome, was a prominent figure in the early Christian history. He gained recognition as a Christian martyr and is considered a saint by the Catholic Church. Born in an unknown date in Rome, Italy, Processus had a remarkable journey that ultimately led to his conversion and subsequent martyrdom. Processus began his career as a prison guard at the Mamertine prison in Rome. It was during this time that he had the privilege of coming into contact with two great apostles of Christianity, Saint Peter the Apostle and Saint Paul the Apostle. Both saints were imprisoned in the Mamertine prison at different times due to their unwavering commitment to spreading the teachings of Jesus Christ. As a prison guard, Processus had the opportunity to witness the extraordinary faith and unwavering strength of these two apostles. Their words and actions deeply impacted him, compelling him to question his own beliefs and ultimately leading him to embrace Christianity. Inspired by the teachings of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, Processus made the conscious decision to convert to Christianity and was subsequently baptized by them.
