Biography

Saint Pere Josep Almató Ribera Auras, also known as Pedro Ribera, was a Dominican priest who was martyred during the persecutions of Emperor Tu-Duc. He was born on November 1, 1830, in San Felíu Saserra, Barcelona, Spain.

Saint Pere Josep Almató Ribera Auras was a devout servant of God from a young age. He felt a strong calling to the priesthood and joined the Dominican Order, where he dedicated his life to the service of God and the Church. Known for his deep faith, humility, and love for others, he became a shining example of virtue within his community.

In the mid-19th century, during a time of intense persecution against Christians in Vietnam, Saint Pere Josep Almató Ribera Auras was sent to Hai Duong, Vietnam, to continue his ministry.
