Saint Parmenas The Deacon, also known as Parmena, was one of the seven deacons appointed by the Apostles to minister to Hellenized Jews of Jerusalem who had converted to Christianity in the early days of the Church. The account of their work is described in the Acts of the Apostles, specifically in Acts 6:1-7. Little is known about the early life of Parmenas, but it is believed that he originated from the Hellenistic community in Jerusalem.
