Saint Timothy The Deacon, also known as Timothy of Africa or Timoteus, was a prominent figure in the early years of Christianity. He is revered as a Deacon and martyr who suffered during the persecutions of Decius. Little is known about his early life or origins, but his unwavering faith and commitment to his Christian beliefs have made him an inspiring figure in the history of the Church. Timothy lived during a tumultuous time for Christians, facing immense persecution and hostility from the Roman Empire. The reign of Decius, who ascended to the throne in 249 AD, marked a period of intense persecution of Christians.
