Biography

Saint Liberatus, also known as Liberat, was a courageous martyr who met his untimely demise during the persecutions of the Arians. Unfortunately, only the father's name of this valiant saint has been preserved throughout history. Liberatus, along with his wife and children, endured immense suffering and persecution at the hands of the Arians, a heretical Christian sect that denied the divinity of Jesus Christ. Despite the overwhelming threats and oppression they faced, the family remained steadfast in their faith, refusing to renounce their belief in the true nature of Christ. Liberatus hailed from Carthage, a city located in modern-day Tunisia. It was here that he and his family boldly professed their commitment to the Catholic faith, even in the face of grave danger.
