Saint Leontius of Saintes, also known as Leontius of Trier or Leontius of Bordeaux, was a prominent figure in the early medieval Catholic Church. Born in the 6th century, little is known about his early life and upbringing. However, he would go on to leave a lasting legacy as the Bishop of Saintes, France. Leontius is often associated with his close friendship with another renowned saint, Saint Malo. During a period of exile, Malo found refuge in Leontius' diocese of Saintes. Leontius provided him with shelter and support, showcasing his deep sense of compassion and dedication to his fellow believers.
