Biography

Saint Isacius of Nicomedia, also known as Isaac of Nicomedia or Isaacius of Nicomedia, was a palace attendant to Empress Alexandra, the wife of Emperor Diocletian. He lived during a time of severe persecution of Christians under the reign of Diocletian. Little is known about Saint Isacius' early life, but his dedication to his faith is evident in his actions during the persecution. When the persecutions initiated by Diocletian began, Saint Isacius openly identified himself as a Christian and refused to renounce his faith.
