Saint Irene of Thessalonica, also known as Saint Irenes, was a Christian martyr who lived during the persecution of Emperor Diocletian in the early 4th century. Born in Thessalonica, a thriving city in the Roman Empire, Irene was known for her unwavering faith and commitment to Christ.
