Biography

Saint Hubert of Bretigny, also known as Hugbert or Uberto, was born in the 7th century in Noyon, France. Despite facing opposition from his family, Hubert displayed an exceptional devotion to the Catholic faith from a young age. At only twelve years old, he made the courageous decision to join the Benedictine monastery of Bretigny, situated in Noyon. Within the walls of Bretigny, Hubert immersed himself in the monastic way of life, dedicating himself to prayer, study, and service. As a diligent and faithful monk, he quickly gained a reputation for his deep spirituality and commitment to the teachings of Christ.
