Biography

Saint Herbert of Tours, also known as Herbert of Marmoutier, was a renowned monk, abbot, and Archbishop of Tours, France. He was born in the late 6th century, and very little is known about his early life and family background. Herbert dedicated himself to a life of deep spirituality and intellectual pursuit, becoming a monk at the illustrious Marmoutier Abbey, which was known for its rigorous monastic life and theological studies.
