Biography

Saint Gregory Makar, also known as Gregor Makar and Gregory of Nicopolis, was an Armenian monk and Bishop of Nicopolis, Armenia. He is believed to have lived during the 10th century and became renowned for his ascetic lifestyle and unwavering devotion to God. Born in Armenia, Saint Gregory Makar dedicated his life to the service of the Church at a young age. He was ordained as a bishop and served in Nicopolis, a city located in present-day Armenia.
