Biography

Saint Goeznoveus of Léon, also known as Gouéno, Gouenou, Gouesnou, Goueznou, and Guennou, was a revered Catholic saint and bishop in the early medieval period. Born in Cornwall, England, he was the brother of another saint, Saint Maughan. Goeznoveus emigrated to Brittany, then a part of modern-day France, where he dedicated his life to serving God and the Church. Little is known about Goeznoveus' early life, but his deep faith and commitment to the Christian faith led him to pursue a vocation as a bishop. Eventually, he was ordained as the Bishop of Léon in France, a role in which he served faithfully. As the Bishop of Léon, Goeznoveus was known for his pastoral care and devotion to his flock.
