Biography

Saint Ferrutio of Besançon, also known as Ferrutius, was a noble individual and brother of Saint Ferreolus of Besançon. Born in Asia Minor, he dedicated his life to spreading the teachings of Christ as a deacon and missionary. His remarkable journey began when he was sent by Saint Irenaeus of Lyons to evangelize the area of Besançon in France, where he would labor tirelessly for three decades. Ferrutio arrived in Besançon with a fervent desire to share the Gospel and bring the light of Christianity to the people.
