Biography

Saint Eustorgius II of Milan, also known as Eustorgius of Milan, was a prominent figure in the early Christian Church and served as a priest and later as the Bishop of Milan in Italy. Little is known about his early life and background before his appointment as Bishop, but his contributions and dedication to the faith are well-documented. Eustorgius II became the Bishop of Milan in the year 512, taking on the responsibilities of shepherding the local Christian community during a period of great turmoil. It was a time when invading barbarians posed a significant threat to the region, and Eustorgius faced numerous challenges in protecting the faithful. One notable accomplishment was his tireless efforts to ransom Christians who had been abducted by these invading barbarians.
