Biography

Saint Esuperia of Vercelli, also known as Esuperia of Piedmont, was a nun and the sister of Saint Costanzo, who became the bishop of Piedmont, Italy. Unfortunately, historical records provide little information about her life, and not much is known about her beyond her familial relationships. Esuperia was born in the early 6th century in Vercelli, a city located in the Piedmont region of Italy. She lived during a time when Christianity was still establishing itself in the region, and her brother Costanzo played a significant role in spreading the faith as the bishop of Piedmont. As a young woman, Esuperia felt a strong calling to dedicate her life to serving God, and she entered a religious community as a nun.
