Biography

Saint Essuperanzio of Zurich, also known as Exuperantius, was a devout servant and companion of Saint Regula and Saint Felix of Zurich. During the reign of Maximian Herculeaus, a time marked by severe persecutions against Christians, the three saints fled from their homeland and sought refuge in Switzerland. Taking shelter near Zurich, Saint Essuperanzio, along with Saints Regula and Felix, continued to practice their faith in secret, providing solace and guidance to their fellow Christians in the region. However, their presence did not go unnoticed, and they were eventually discovered by authorities. Refusing to renounce their faith, despite the danger it posed to their lives, Saint Essuperanzio and his companions bravely stood firm.
