Biography

Saint Eleuchadius of Ravenna, also known as Eleuchadus or Eleucadio, was a highly revered figure in the Catholic tradition. Born in Greece, he lived during the 1st century AD and is believed to have died on February 14, in the year 112. His relics were later enshrined in Pavia, Italy, where they continue to be venerated by the faithful.

According to historical records, Saint Eleuchadius was a convert to Christianity who was brought into the faith by Saint Apollinaris of Ravenna. Apollinaris, a bishop himself, recognized in Eleuchadius a strong devotion to God and a deep desire to serve the Church. Impressed by his steadfast faith, Apollinaris ordained Eleuchadius as a deacon, setting him on a path of ministry.
