Biography

Saint Domitian of Lobbes, also known as Domitianus or Domitian of Huy, was a Benedictine monk who lived during the 7th century. Born in Huy, Belgium, he dedicated his life to serving God and became a spiritual student of Saint Landelin of Crespin at the monastery of Lobbes, located in present-day Belgium. As a faithful disciple of Saint Landelin, Domitian immersed himself in the monastic life, following the Rule of Saint Benedict. He was known for his deep spirituality, devotion to prayer, and strict adherence to the Benedictine way of life. Domitian's humility and fervor made him a beloved figure among his fellow monks, and his reputation for holiness began to spread.
