Biography

Saint Crescentian of Rome, also known as Crescentianus, was a Roman martyr who met his untimely death during the persecutions of Maxentius. His life is commemorated and celebrated on the 24th of November each year. As a Pre-Congregation saint, his canonization took place before the establishment of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints. Crescentian lived during a tumultuous period in ancient Rome when Christians faced severe persecution under the reign of Emperor Maxentius.
