Saint Canog Ap Brychan, also known as Cynog, Cenneur, and Kennauc, was born a Prince, the eldest son of Saint Brychan of Brecknock, and Benedulved. He is revered as a martyr and is widely venerated in Wales. Born around 434, Saint Canog dedicated his life to spreading the teachings of Christianity in his homeland. Saint Canog's early life was marked by his noble birth and upbringing. As the son of Saint Brychan, a renowned King and Christian ruler, Canog was deeply influenced by his father's faith and devotion. Growing up in the household of a saintly King, he imbibed a strong sense of righteousness and a calling to serve God. Inspired by his father's example, Saint Canog embraced the monastic life and devoted himself to the study of scriptures and the promotion of the Christian faith.
