Biography

Saint Mari was a renowned missionary and one of the great apostles to Syria and Persia. Born in the 2nd century, not much is known about the early life of Saint Mari. However, it is believed that he was converted to Christianity by Saint Addai and became his spiritual student. Saint Mari embarked on a mission to spread the teachings of Christianity around the regions of Nisibis, Nineveh, and along the Euphrates.
