Biography

Saint Euthymius of Alexandria, also known as Eutimio, was a devout Christian deacon in Alexandria, Egypt during the early years of the Church. Although there is limited information available about his life, his unwavering commitment to his faith and ultimate martyrdom have left a lasting impact on the Church. Euthymius lived during a time of great persecution against Christians in Egypt, as well as during the reign of one of the most notorious persecutors of Christians, Emperor Diocletian. Despite the risks involved, Euthymius courageously proclaimed his faith in Jesus Christ and actively ministered to the Christian community in Alexandria. As a deacon, Euthymius was responsible for assisting the local bishop in various liturgical and charitable duties.
