Saint Anthusa of Seleucia, also known as Saint Anthusa of the Desert, is a revered figure in the history of Christianity. Born in the third century, she was a wealthy lay woman living in the city of Seleucia, Asia Minor. She came from a prominent family and enjoyed a life filled with material comforts and privilege. Anthusa's conversion to Christianity came about through the influence of Saint Athanasius of Tarsus, a renowned Christian bishop known for his missionary efforts in the region.
