Biography

Saint Ansurius of Orense, also known as Aduri, Adurius, Asurius, or Isauri, was a Benedictine monk and the Bishop of Orense, Galacia, Spain in the year 915. He is also recognized for founding the abbey of Ribas de Sil. Known for his great devotion to God and his tireless efforts to spread the teachings of Christianity, Ansurius dedicated his life to serving God and his people. Born in an unknown period, his early life and family background remain a mystery. However, it is believed that he was born in the region of Galacia in Spain.
