Biography

Saint Adeloga of Kitzingen, also known as Adela, Adaloja, or Hadeloga, was a Frankish princess who dedicated her life to the service of God. Little is known about her early life, but it is believed that she was born in the Frankish region, which is part of modern-day Germany. Adeloga's devotion to God led her to become a Benedictine nun. Inspired by the monastic life, she decided to establish a Benedictine convent in Kitzingen, a town located in Franconia. Around the mid-8th century, Adeloga founded the Benedictine convent of Kitzingen and became its first abbess.
