Blessed Wladyslaw Maczkowski, also known as Ladislaus Maczkowski, was a dedicated priest in the Archdiocese of Gniezno, Poland, serving in the parish of Lubowo. He was born on 24 June 1911 in Ociaz, Wielkopolskie, Poland.

Father Maczkowski's life took a tragic turn during the tumultuous period of World War II. On 26 August 1940, he was arrested by the occupying Nazis and subsequently imprisoned in the infamous Dachau concentration camp located in Oberbayern, Germany.
