Blessed Virgilio Edreira Mosquera was a devoted member of the Salesians of Don Bosco and a martyr of the Spanish Civil War. He is honored for his unwavering faith and his ultimate sacrifice in defending his beliefs.

Virgilio Edreira Mosquera was born on 27 November 1909 in La Coruña, Spain. From an early age, he displayed a strong inclination towards spirituality and a deep love for God. Recognizing his calling, Virgilio entered the Salesian congregation, founded by Saint John Bosco, which focuses on the education and spiritual guidance of young people.

Throughout his religious life, Virgilio dedicated himself wholeheartedly to the service of others.
