Biography

Blessed Vidal Ruiz Vallejo was an Augustinian priest who was martyred during the Spanish Civil War. He was born on 6 November 1892 in Carrión de los Condes, Palencia, Spain. Blessed Vidal dedicated his life to the service of God and the Catholic Church, eventually becoming an ordained priest.

During the turbulent period of the Spanish Civil War, which lasted from 1936 to 1939, Blessed Vidal bravely continued his pastoral duties despite the increasing hostility towards Catholics and religious figures. His unwavering faith and dedication to his vocation inspired many.
