Biography

Blessed Torello of Poppi, also known as Torello of Poppi or Torello della Rocca, was born in 1201 or 1202 in the town of Poppi, located in Tuscany, Italy. Little is known about his early life, except that he led a wild and misspent youth filled with worldly pursuits.

Torello spent the next 60 years of his life in a walled-up cave, completely isolated from the outside world.
