Timoteo's strong faith eventually led him to join the Franciscan Friars Minor, a religious order founded by Saint Francis of Assisi.

After his ordination as a priest, Blessed Timoteo dedicated himself to a life of service and devotion in the San Angelo d'Ocre convent, located in Campli, Teramo, Italy. There, he carried out his duties as a Franciscan novice master, providing guidance and instruction to those preparing to take their vows.

Renowned for his austere devotion to the Franciscan way of life, Timoteo Da Monticchio stood out for his deep prayer life and unwavering commitment to the teachings of his order. His humility and simplicity in living mirrored the ideals set forth by Saint Francis himself, earning him great respect and admiration from his fellow friars.

Throughout his life, Blessed Timoteo experienced several spiritual encounters, receiving visions from both the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saint Francis of Assisi. These encounters further fueled his devotion and inspired others to seek a closer relationship with God.

On 22 August 1504, Blessed Timoteo Da Monticchio passed away in the San Angelo convent in Ocra, L'Aquila, Abruzzo, Italy, due to natural causes. His death marked the end of a life spent in faithful service to both God and the Franciscan order.
