The steadfast dedication and sacrifice displayed by Ramon Roca BuscallÖ did not go unnoticed. On 21 December 2016, Pope Francis recognized his martyrdom, proclaiming him venerable. Later, on 21 October 2017, Pope Francis beatified him in a ceremony held at the Basilica of Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Spain. The beatification ceremony was presided over by Archbishop Angelo Amato, who bestowed this honor upon Blessed Ramon Roca BuscallÖ on behalf of the Holy See.
