Biography

Blessed Ramon Cabanach Majem, also known as Father Ramon Cabanach Majem, was a Catholic priest and a member of the religious congregation called the Sons of the Holy Family. He was born on September 22, 1911, in Barcelona, Spain. His dedication to the priesthood and his inspiring work in promoting vocations to the religious life made him a beloved figure amongst his community.

Father Ramon Cabanach Majem served as the director of the Saint Peter the Apostle school in Reus, Spain. His leadership and commitment to education played a significant role in shaping the lives of many young individuals who attended the school. He deeply believed in the importance of fostering a strong Catholic faith in the hearts of the students and guiding them towards a spiritual vocation.

Unfortunately, during the Spanish Civil War, Father Ramon Cabanach Majem was imprisoned due to his unwavering faith and dedication to the Church. In recognition of his holiness and martyrdom, Father Ramon Cabanach Majem was venerated by Pope Benedict XVI on May 10, 2012, through a decree of martyrdom. His beatification followed on October 13, 2013, as announced by Pope Francis. The Church honors him on his feast day, which is celebrated on August 25th.
