Later, on 11 November 2017, Pope Francis beatified him in a special ceremony celebrated at the Palacio Vistalegre Arena in Carabanchel, Madrid. The event was presided over by Cardinal Angelo Amato and Cardinal Carlos Osoro Sierra of Madrid, honoring the Beatified Ponciano Nieto Asensio's legacy of faith and devotion.
