Biography

Blessed Pius Salvans Corominas was a Catholic priest in the archdiocese of Tarragona, Spain, who was martyred during the Spanish Civil War. He was born on 2 January 1878 in Santa Maria de la Guardia, Barcelona, Spain.

Blessed Pius Salvans Corominas dedicated his life to the service of God and the Church. He felt a calling to the priesthood from a young age and pursued his vocation with great fervor. After completing his studies in theology, he was ordained a priest and was assigned to minister in the archdiocese of Tarragona.

Pope Francis then formally beatified him on 13 October 2013, during a solemn ceremony held in Tarragona, Spain.
