Biography

Blessed Pedro Ruiz De Valdivia Pérez, also known as Pedro Ruiz Valdivia, was a Catholic Priest of the archdiocese of Granada, Spain. He was born on 29 December 1871 in Huétor Vega, Granada, Spain. Pedro Ruiz Valdivia dedicated his life to the service of God and the Church as a priest.

As a faithful servant of the archdiocese of Granada, Pedro Ruiz Valdivia actively participated in pastoral activities, providing guidance and spiritual support to the local community. He was known for his deep devotion to his faith and his commitment to spreading the message of love and compassion.

Tragically, during the Spanish Civil War, which took place from 1936 to 1939, Pedro Ruiz Valdivia fell victim to the violent upheaval. On 30 July 1936, he was martyred in Alhama de Granada, Spain, for his unwavering dedication to his beliefs and his refusal to renounce his faith.
