On November 11, 2017, in a beatification ceremony held at the Palacio Vistalegre Arena in Carabanchel, Madrid, Spain, Pedro Armendáriz Zabaleta was beatified by Pope Francis. The beatification was presided over by Cardinal Angelo Amato and Cardinal Carlos Osoro Sierra of Madrid, signifying Pedro's elevated status within the Catholic Church.
