Biography

Blessed Miguel Menéndez García was a Dominican priest who was martyred during the Spanish Civil War. He was born on June 29, 1885, in San Julián de Quintana, Belmonte, Asturias, Spain.

Miguel Menéndez García joined the Order of Preachers (Dominicans) and was ordained as a priest. He dedicated his life to the service of God and his fellow human beings, living out his vocation with great zeal and devotion. He was known for his deep spirituality, humility, and compassion towards others.

During the turbulent period of the Spanish Civil War, a time of intense political and religious persecution, Blessed Miguel Menéndez García steadfastly remained committed to his faith. He was a true shepherd to his flock, offering solace and guidance to those affected by the conflict.
