Blessed Marco Antonio Durando, also known as Marcantonio Durando, was a revered Catholic priest and founder of the Institute of the Sisters of Jesus the Nazarene. He was born on 22 May 1801 in Mondovi, Italy, and dedicated his life to the service of God and his fellow human beings.

Durando joined the Congregation of the Mission of Saint Vincent de Paul, a community of priests committed to serving the poor and marginalized. He displayed an exceptional devotion to God and a deep compassion for those in need, and this led him to establish the Institute of the Sisters of Jesus the Nazarene.
