Biography

Blessed Lorenzo Santolaria Ester, also known as Blessed Lorenzo Santolaria, was a Benedictine monk in the Solesmes Congregation who was martyred during the Spanish Civil War. He was born on April 20, 1872, in Torres de Alcanadre, Huesca, Spain. His life was dedicated to his faith and service to God.

As a member of the Solesmes Congregation, Blessed Lorenzo Santolaria Ester embraced the monastic life within the Benedictine tradition. The Solesmes Congregation was known for its devotion to the liturgy and Gregorian chant.
