Biography

Blessed Lluís Hortós Tura was a member of the Claretians and was professed on 15 August 1931. He was born on 8 February 1915 in Arguelaguer, Girona, Spain. Lluís Hortós Tura lived during a turbulent time in Spanish history, marked by the Spanish Civil War.

Lluís Hortós Tura dedicated his life to serving God and his fellow human beings. As a member of the Claretian order, he faithfully lived according to their charism of evangelization, education, and social work. He wholeheartedly embraced the evangelical counsels of poverty, chastity, and obedience, striving to bring the love and message of Jesus Christ to those he encountered.
