Blessed Jose Guardiet Y Pujol was a priest of the archdiocese of Barcelona, Spain. He was born on 21 June 1879 in Manlleu, Barcelona, Spain, and dedicated his life to serving the Catholic Church. As the rector of the parish of San Pedro in Rubi, Spain, he proved to be a compassionate and devoted pastor.

Blessed Jose Guardiet Y Pujol was known for his deep devotion to Our Lady of Monserrat, a popular Marian shrine in Spain. He encouraged the parishioners of San Pedro to participate in pilgrimages to Monserrat, fostering their spiritual growth and strengthening their faith. His dedication to promoting devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary played a significant role in the spiritual development of his parish community.

In addition to his work in promoting pilgrimages, Blessed Jose Guardiet Y Pujol was actively involved in supporting education. Recognizing the importance of education in nurturing the faith of the younger generation, he worked diligently to provide educational opportunities for the children in his parish. Tragically, the Spanish Civil War brought immense hardship and persecution for the Catholic Church in Spain. Blessed Jose Guardiet Y Pujol became a victim of this tumultuous period in history. He was imprisoned unjustly and ultimately executed for the crime of priesthood. On 3 August 1936, he was shot by a firing squad on the L’Arrabassada highway in Barcelona, Spain.
