Blessed Joaquín Jovaní Marín was a priest and a member of the Diocesan Laborer Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. He was born on 16 October 1874 in San Mateo, Castellón, Spain. Throughout his life, Blessed Joaquín dedicated himself to the service of God and the Church.
Blessed Joaquín Jovaní Marín entered the priesthood and was known for his deep devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. He tirelessly worked to spread the message of Christ's love and mercy among the faithful, aiming to bring them closer to their Creator.
During the turbulent times of the Spanish Civil War, Blessed Joaquín found himself confronted with great challenges. On 27 March 2013, Pope Francis recognized the martyrdom of Blessed Joaquín Jovaní Marín, declaring him worthy of veneration. Later, on 13 October 2013, Pope Francis beatified him in a solemn ceremony. This beatification ceremony honored the life, sacrifices, and unyielding faith of Blessed Joaquín, affirming his presence among the saints in heaven.
